Testo Moisture Meter 606-2

The Testo 606-2 Pocket Moisture Meter cleverly combines the capability of a penetrative moisture meter with that of a thermohygrometer. Moisture content readings are displayed as a percentage of dry weight thanks to several pre-set characteristic curves for various wood species and building materials. Measurements are taken through twin ram electrodes that can penetrate the material down to a depth of 4 to 5mm.

The thermohygrometer functionality of the Testo 606-2 allows it to measure air temperature (NTC) from -10˚C to 50˚C and humidity from 0 to 100%. Practical applications of these features include determining drying conditions on site and calculating wet bulb and dew point values in order to properly safeguard materials.

Readings are shown on the Testo 606-2’s illuminated screen which is ideal for poorly lit environments and it has a data hold function which keeps the reading on screen once the electrodes are removed from the material under inspection. Operation is undertaken via a simple three-button interface so the meter is easy to use even in tricky conditions.

Various accessories are supplied with the Testo 606-2 including a protective cap, batteries, calibration protocol, hand strap and belt holder. It benefits from a 130-hour battery life and an IP20 ingress protection rating.
